Answers to common parent questions about the Koko Koala Bag Charm 6": size, safety, attachment, care, and whether it suits young children.
Quick answer
The Koko Koala Bag Charm 6" is a small, ultra-soft plush accessory best suited for older children and adults who want a cute bag companion. For toddlers, treat it as a supervised decorative item only, not a toy.
Why size and attachment matter for young children
At 6 inches (15cm), this koala charm is small enough to clip onto a backpack or purse, but that also means it can be a choking hazard for children under 3. The charm attaches with a strap or clip, which should be secured tightly to avoid accidental detachment. Always check the attachment before handing a bag to a child.
What parents should know about safety testing
The Koko Koala charm is independently safety tested, but that does not make it suitable for all ages. Safety tests cover materials and construction, not unsupervised use by toddlers. If you have a child who still mouths objects, keep the charm out of reach.
Common parent questions about the Koko Koala Bag Charm
- Is the Koko Koala bag charm safe for toddlers?
- No, it is not recommended for children under 3 due to small parts and choking hazards. Even with safety testing, toddlers should only handle it under close adult supervision.
- How do I attach the charm to a bag?
- Use the attached strap or clip to secure it to a zipper pull, D-ring, or handle. Tug gently to confirm it is fastened and won't fall off. Check the attachment regularly, especially if a child carries the bag.
- Can I wash the plush charm?
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the soft fabric and shape.
- What age is this charm best for?
- It suits older children (3+) and adults who want a cute accessory. For kids under 3, choose a larger plush toy instead.
- Does it come with a warranty or return option?
- Yes, OB Designs offers a 30-day return policy for a full refund if you are not satisfied. Free shipping applies to orders over $95.
